Capture Browser Trace Information
When reporting an issue with the BlendVision player, providing browser trace information can help us understand and investigate the problem more effectively. This guide outlines how to capture and save relevant data to share with our support team.
Important Note
HAR (HTTP Archive) files can contain sensitive information, such as browser cookies and form submissions. Please review and sanitize these files as needed before sharing them.
How to Capture a HAR File
- Chrome
- edge
- Firefox
- Safari
Use Chrome DevTools:
- Navigate to the page where you are experiencing the issue with the BlendVision player.
- Open Chrome DevTools by right-clicking on the page and selecting Inspect.
- In the DevTools panel, click on the Network tab to start recording network activity.
- Check the Preserve log option to retain the log during page navigation.
- Click Clear network log.
- Reproduce the issue by interacting with the BlendVision player. 7.After reproducing the issue, click on Export HAR (sanitized) and save the HAR file.
- Navigate to the page where you are experiencing the issue with the BlendVision player.
- Open Microsoft Edge DevTools by right-clicking on the page and selecting Inspect.
- Click on the Network tab to begin recording network activity.
- Select Preserve log.
- Click Clear network log.
- Reproduce the issue by interacting with the BlendVision player.
- After reproducing the issue, click on Export HAR and save the file.
Use Firefox DevTools:
- Navigate to the page where you are experiencing the issue with the BlendVision player.
- Open Firefox DevTools by right-clicking on the page and selecting Inspect.
- Click on the Network tab to start recording network activity.
- Click Settings and then select Persist Logs.
- Click Clear.
- Reproduce the issue by interacting with the BlendVision player.
- Once the issue is reproduced, click Settings > Save All As HAR and save the file.
Use Safari Web Inspector:
- Enable Developer Tools in Safari by going to Safari > Settings... > Advanced and checking Show features for web developers checkbox.
- Navigate to the page where you are encountering the issue with the BlendVision player.
- Open the Web Inspector: in the Safari menu bar, click Develop > Show Web Inspector.
- Click on the Network tab to start recording network activity.
- Select Preserve Log and reload the page.
- Click Clear Network Items.
- Reproduce the issue by interacting with the BlendVision player.
- After reproducing the issue, click Export and save the HAR file.
Once you have saved the HAR file, you can upload it as an attachment in your support case.
