Supported Platforms

When DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection is enabled, recording, mirroring, and casting can be blocked under certain conditions as shown in below table.

For example, a user using an iOS device with the latest OS version on the latest Safari browser version, while able to cast, will be unable to record and mirror their screen.

Mirroring: Mirror the device's screen to display onto a second screen.
Casting: Cast the device's content to playback on a different device.
AirPlay: Connect Apple devices on the same Wi-Fi network for casting. Some AirPlay 2 enabled devices may not support AirPlay streaming due to DRM license limitations.

Actual results will vary following the newest policies on each OS and device.

limitations

¹iOS 15 is unable to play DRM-protected live streams and VOD content on web browsers. Users are required to upgrade to iOS 15.1 to view DRM-protected content.
²Safari 15 on Mac desktop is unable to play DRM-protected live streams and VOD content.
